A Quick Overview of Aegean air
Aegean Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Greece and it is the largest airline total number of destinations served (153), by total number of passengers carried and by its fleet size. Aegean Airlines is also a Star Alliance member from the past 9 years and operates charter and scheduled services to a number of Greek, European, African and Middle Eastern destinations. The main hubs of this airlines are Athens International Airport, Larnaca International Airport (Cyprus) and Thessaloniki Airport - while its head office is located in Kifisia, Athens.
In 2012, Aegean Airlines acquired Olympic Air and since 2013 both carriers are operating under separate brands.

Aegean Airlines and its subsidiary, Olympic Air have a frequent flyer program called "Miles+Bonus". The previous name for this programme was "Miles&bonus". It currently offers Blue, Silver and Gold tiers with different benefits to customers:
Additionally, Aegean Airlines offers "Happy Miles" and "Together" benefits. The former allows customers to spend up to 30% fewer miles on specific flights throughout the Olympic Air and Aegean Air network. The latter allows the Silver and Gold members to activate a Together account and add up to 5 friends or family members regardless of their tiers.

In 2000, The European Regions Airline Association (ERA) awarded Aegean the Airline of the Year 2000/01 Bronze Award.
AEGEAN received the ERA Gold Award Airline of the Year 2004/2005.
Third-time winner of the ERA silver award for 2005/6.
AEGEAN received three awards from Athens International Airport as the fastest-growing airline for Western Europe and as the overall fastest-growing airline operating at AIA in 2004.
4th ERA award: AEGEAN once again received the Airline of the Year 2006/7 Silver Award.
AEGEAN received the gold award for the highest increase in passenger numbers in 2005 and for the highest percentage passenger growth in the domestic market.
