Vueling Airlines is a Spanish Airlines, which is based at El Prat de Llobregat in Greater Barcelona. The hubs of the Airlines are located in Leonardo a Vinci – Fiumicino Airport in Rome, Italy and Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Name of the Airlines has been derived from the Spanish word vuelo, which means flight. Vueling Airlines is the largest Airlines in the entire Spain when it comes to the number of destinations and fleet size. Its fleet size is 113.
Vueling Airlines is currently covering over 100 destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa. In the year 2015, the Airlines successfully carried over 24 million passengers, with an impressive load factor of 81%.
The slogan of the company is: Love the way you fly. The parent company of Vueling Airlines is IAG. It was founded in February of 2004 while the operations commenced on July 1, 2004. The first flight was between Ibiza and Barcelona. The initial fleet of Airlines constituted of two Airbus A320 aircraft, they were based in Barcelona and served Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Palma de Mallorca, Brussels and Ibiza.
