Founded in 1972, Biman Airlines is the flag carrier of Bangladesh. It had been wholly owned by the government of Bangladesh before it converted into a public sector. Biman Airlines is headquartered in Balaka Bhaban in Kurmitola in the capital of Bangladesh. It operates scheduled and private passenger flights and cargo services out of its main aviation site at Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) and Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP) and Osmani International Airport (ZYL) as secondary airports. Biman Airlines offers air services to 23 destinations; 15 of which are international in the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, and Europe.
