Baggage Allowance on Transavia:

Each passenger is allowed to carry one piece of carry-on luggage weighing 10 kgs maximum. If passengers’ hand luggage exceeds the weight limit or dimensions set by Transavia, it can be checked in return of extra charges of €40.

The standard dimensions of the hand luggage onboard Transavia flights are: Max. 45 x 40 x 25 cm. In addition to carry-on luggage, Transavia allows the passengers to check in sports equipment provided that they are reported prior to the scheduled time of departure.

Meals and Beverage:

As a budget airline, Transavia customizes the services based on the passengers' needs. For example, onboard the flight, the passengers have the option to order meals and beverage if they wish. Further, they can pre-order special meals during the booking process to meet the passengers' diet, religious and medical restrictions. Customization of in-flight services enables you to control the budget on which you would like to travel.

Selection of Seats:

Transavia offers travelers four options to reserve seats: (a) Seat with Standard Legroom, 74 cm to 76 cm, (b) Front Seat, 74 cm to 76 cm, (c) Seat in the first row, 91 cm, and (d) Seat with extra legroom, 86 cm to 100 cm. Advanced seat reservation can be made 48 hours prior to the time of the particular scheduled time of departure and it operates on first come first served basis. Customers can reserve their favorite seats by going to “My Transavia” section on Transavia website. The sooner a customer chooses to reserve a seat, the more seat options they have to choose from. In the scenario where a customer does not choose a particular seat, he will still have the option to make a choice from the remaining seats when he goes for an online check-in. If a family wants to be seated together, Transavia advises travelers to make seat reservations during online check-in in order to avoid any kind of inconvenience at the airport. In case of a group or a couple are traveling together and they neither utilized the option of reserving a seat nor did they select a seat during an online check-in, but opted to check in at the airport, Transavia cannot guarantee them to be seated together.

If a passenger needs an extra seat for instance to carry a musical instrument or a wedding gown, he is eligible to book an extra seat during the actual booking process. By doing so, the passenger will be seated right next to the extra seat that he or she had booked.

Policy of Children Traveling onboard Transavia:

Transavia offers unaccompanied minors special care to travel. From the age of 5 to 11 years, children are allowed to travel alone with the assistance from the Transavia personnel. A total fee of €50 is charged per a flight for a child traveling unaccompanied. Unaccompanied children younger than 5 years of age are not allowed to traveling onboard. Children aged 12 to 15 years are eligible to travel alone on board Transavia. In this case, while assistance from the airline’s personnel may be sought, it is not mandatory. However, if the child still requires the assistance of personnel, an additional fee of €50 per flight is charged. Once the final destination is reached, it is mandatory that an authorized adult aged 16 or older has to receive the minor child.

Online Check-in Procedures and Issuance of Boarding Pass

Transavia offers easy, safe and fast online check-in. This service is made accessible 30 hours before the scheduled departure time of Transavia flights. Online check-in closes either one or four hours prior to the time of departure depending on the airport of departure. The online check-in is available on mobile phones, computers, and tablets. The customers have the option to download the boarding pass on their devices. The passenger can show their mobile boarding pass at the airport instead of going through the hassle of taking a print out. The online check-in service is provided for all Transavia flights except for the flights departing from Dubai.

Modification of the booking can be made via telephone 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time or through “My Transavia” section on the Transavia Airlines website. Online modifications can be made up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure. No changes to flight bookings are allowed after the passenger has checked in.
