The hotel in Rhodes Town has 210 rooms and a water sport centre on the beach, which offers water skiing, jet-skiing, banana boat rides, windsurfing and canoeing. The harbour area is 500 metres away and was once the site of one of the seven natural wonders of the ancient world, the 100 foot Collossus of Rhodes. It is now home to yachts from around the world.

In the centre of Rhodes Town, the Petit Palais Hotel is a few short steps from the beach and a few minutes walk from Rhodes` historical and cultural attractions, while markets, souvenir shops, jewellery shops, nightclubs, bars and restaurants are nearby. The town is divided into 2 distinct areas, the modern part has good shops, tree-lined avenues, large public buildings, international restaurants and nightclubs. The old town has cobbled streets, tavernas and a fortress built by the Knights of St John is half a mile away.
