History tells us that the Convento do Desagravo was built on the orders of the bishop and count, Dom Francisco de Lemos de Faria Pereira, during the last quarter of the 18th century. Today's Pousada preserves this fascinating piece of history intact, but has been carefully adapted to provide contemporary comfort. A total of 24 rooms are on offer within the air-conditioned hotel of which 21 are doubles and 3 are suites. Guests have access to the hotel gardens and amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange facility and a lift.
