Sirios Village is an excellent choice for a long and relaxing family holiday. The Lyda Beach Hotel offers a large outdoor fresh water swimming pool, a children's pool, sun terraces with sunbeds and parasols free of charge, a pool side snack bar, a restaurant, night bar, a beach bar, a TV lounge with large wide screen TV, arcade games, billiards, mini market and a reception. The Lyda Beach Hotel organises the occasional entertainment programme, mainly during the summer months and dependent on the weather and participation. The Apollo Hotel is in Kavros, near to Georgioupolis, between the cities of Chania and Rethymnon. There is a regular bus connection to both cities and the nearby Kournas Lake, the only sweet water lake in Crete. A mini market and a restaurant can be found nearby whilst the beach is approximately 200 metres from the hotel and offers a good selection of with water sport facilities. Georgioupolis has everything required for a perfect holiday including pharmacies, open markets, super markets, restaurants and a good local bus service.

The studios are designed to accommodate 2 or 3 people and the apartments will sleep 3 or 4. The Golden Sun complex Malia has a total of 12 studios and two one bedroom apartments, all of which have a basic kitchen, a fridge and a telephone. The property has its own pool, poolside bar and spacious terrace furnished with loungers. The bar has a big screen TV with satellite channels and there is also a pool table. At the Golden Sun reception guests can exchange currency, use the internet or call home on the pay phone.
Malia is divided into 2 parts , a relaxed old town with traditional houses and tavernas and the newer area near the beach, which is livelier, with cafes, bars, discos and shops. There is a selection of watersports available on the beach.
