Travel Classes onboard Thai Airways:

Thai Airways International offers three cabin classes and accordingly inflight and on-ground services vary.

Royal First Class

It refers to First Class on Thai Airways International and it is available on Airbus A340-600, Airbus A380, and selected Boeing 737-400 aircraft. Royal First Class passengers are indulged in spacious semi-private suites of eight feet high. Seats recline flexibly from upright to fully flat bed. In addition, this cabin features luxurious inflight amenities such as personal entertainment, 23-inch flat screen, films, music, games, a big dining and work table, and chef-curated meals for passengers to select their favorite dishes and beverages. Besides that, inflight amenities include a warm wear, a pair of slippers and a travel kit full wide variety of toiletries and accessories.

Royal Silk Class:

It is the second cabin class and refers to Business Class. It is available on all the airline fleet models. The same class is sold as Premium Economy on Scandinavian and Moscow routes. Royal Silk Class features seats of 51 to 55 in width and it has a pitch of 58 to 62 inches. Seats are adjustable at different angles up to 180 degrees, so they can be comfortable flat beds. With respect to inflight entertainment facilities, the Royal Silk passengers enjoy music, movies, 15-16 inch flat screen, power points, and USB ports. Also, on Royal Silk cabin complimentary meals are served to passengers to enjoy their culinary delights including pre-departure drink and other chef-curated and travel-specific dishes. Inflight amenities also include a pillow, a blanket, and a travel kit.

Economy Class:

It is available on Airbus A380, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350-900, Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 777. Economy Class features wide reclining seats, generous legroom and seat pitch of around 32 to 34 inches depending on the aircraft model. Inflight amenities on Economy Class include a vast selection of AVOD, personal in-seat touchscreen monitor and a complimentary hot meal or snacks. On long-haul regional and international flights Economy Class passengers are provided with a personal pillow and a blanket.

Baggage Information onboard Thai Airways:

• First Class: The passengers are allowed 50 kgs of checked baggage cost-free.
• Business & Premium Economy Class :The passengers are allowed 40 kgs of checked baggage cost-free.
• Economy Class :The passengers are allowed 30 kgs of checked baggage cost-free.
• Passengers travelling to the USA and Canada : First class and Business class passengers traveling to the USA or Canada are allowed two pieces of checked baggage each of which weighs up to 32 kgs. Economy class passengers travelling to the USA and Canada are allowed two pieces of checked baggage each weighs 23kgs.
• Also, passengers traveling with an infant are eligible for 10 kgs free of charge.
• All passengers, regardless of their class ticket, are allowed one carry-on baggage of 7 kgs maximum weight along with portable small items like a camera, laptop, a notebook and the like.

Special Care Services:

Thai Airways offer special assistance for physically challenged people where wheelchairs are provided free of cost. Thai Airways also provides unaccompanied minors attendants to look after them while traveling.

Inflight shopping program:

Thai Airways offers onboard shopping program. The program offers an unrivaled diverse collection of branded product custom-free and at wonderful prices.

Thai Airways Airport Lounges:

In addition to the world-class in-flight amenities, First Class and Business Class passengers are advantaged with several on-ground services. They are granted free access to Orchid Lounges available at Thai Airways’ operational hub, some domestic airports in Thailand, and other nine international destinations. First and Business Class passengers traveling from Suvarnabhumi Airport are indulged in free spa services at Royal Orchid Spa Lounge, which won the World’s Best Lounge and Spa award by Skytrax in 2018. Moreover, they undergo private security screening and passport control facility.

Booking Procedures and Issuance of Boarding Pass:

Thai Airways International offers its clients three ways for check-in: online check-in, air port counters or kiosks. For convenience and time saving, Thai Airways International offers online check-in through its available app for both Android and iOS. It allows you to download and print out your boarding pass. The second check-in method is airport counters. The counters open three hours before scheduled flight departure time and close 40 minutes prior departure time. The third check-in method is Kiosks and they are available at Bangkok and some international destinations. Passengers can check-in using the self-service as early as 12 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time.
